This blog is about the move of Dawn and Ed to Denver, Colorado.

After Dawn has been living in the Netherlands for 5 years, we thought it was time to pack our stuff and make a move to Denver, Colorado. We choose Denver after a three month stay in 2001, we were there because of a job Ed was doing for Lucent Technologies. In May 2006, we decided to start Ed's greencard procedure and see how it would go from there.

Monday 24th of July. Final Interview Day. We were the second couple to arrive and had a hard time to stay in front of the line cause everyone contstantly tried to jump infront of us. This did pay off cause we were at the counter in a couple of minutes for all our paperwork. Oops, we forgot to make copies of some paperwork. With major exeption they made a couple copies for us and continued the paperwork. We had to wait to pay the $335 for final processing and sit down and wait again.

Finally the lady called my name and the really official part started. Raising your right hand and swear, fingerprints and going through all the paperwork with the lady.
Then finaly.... "Everything looks alright, I'll issue your visa".

Can't get any better then that!
It was all worth it and now we can start on the house.

It's friday now... About 5 days after my medical and I just can't wait any longer!
Dr. Schulte told me he would call if something was wrong but I just need to know.

So I called.....
Everything is fine!!! Whooohoooo..
One of the best days of my life!!

Okay, we are ready for the interview. Nothing can stop us now.

Oh My God....
This was D-DAY! Or you might call it, the Medical exam.

My worst dream coming alive. I had an appointment for my X-Ray before my medical at Dr. Schulte and that wasn't that hard. Then we went over to Dr. Schulte who has an office about 3 blocks away from our first appointment.

The medical itself was easy. Some standard check you get with most medicals where they listen to your lungs. Balance test, blood pressure, some questions and then taking some blood for the lab test.

Now I have to wait. See I wasn't that nervous for the test, it's the waiting that I hate!
