It's been quiet for a while but I'll give you an update on what's been going on.
The buyers got everything arranged and after about 3 weeks the deposit arrived at the notary. This is our cue to start selling off things we don't want to take with us and packing the rest of our stuff.
It took us about 4 weeks to get everything packed. Every box needs a list with what's in it for customs and weight needs to be recorded to calculate total weight on the pallets.
We put about 6m3 in a storage container and the rest went to my parents.
Dawn arranged 5 plastic pallets from her work and special boxes that go over top and bottom for protection.
Yesterday we were at the notary office to transfer over the house and as of that moment we were officialy homeless. Kind of an odd feeling that is.
Now we are at Ed's parents for another 4 1/2 weeks and then we are off!
Okay you wouldn't expect this but the house is sold!
After it being online and having the pictures up at the realtor we got our second visitors and they placed a bid. After some negotiation we agreed on a price.
Now the buyers have about 3 weeks to get the bank deposit and mortgage arranged.
Keeping our fingers crossed.
August 31st. I thought it would never happen but the house is about ready to be for sale. We had the realtor coming over for the offer and we decided to put down the signature and get it on the market right away.
We agreed that that the photographer will come over tomorrow and the house should be online this weekend. Can't wait....
