Little update
Our builder went out today and made some more pictures for us.
This weekend we will go to the housesite again to make some ourselfs.
Updates will be coming in once to twice a week.
View from the front. You can see a ranch home in the right back from a different builder.
This should be the 3 car garage.. Don't ask me how that works but I think the top will be the floor of the garage where they will create the concrete slabs.
These are the window wells. The top of the well will be at ground level. On top of the well will be a protective grate so you don't fall in. Cause our home has an inground basement, window wells create light and emergency exits. The code in colorado is that every room needs a minimum of 2 exits.
Model Home Pictures
I made some new pictures of the model home. Of course we chose our own tiles, granite and carpet in our own home but it gives a good idea of what the home will/can look like.
The Family/Livingroom

You can see how the kitchen is next to the Family/Livingroom
Here you can see the island with sink. Our stove will be different that we will have a double oven in the 2 seperate cabinets on the right (of course the cabinets will go away then) and the stove will not be there but just the burners. Above the island we chose for 3 pendant (hanging) lights.

You can see that hallways are not very common in the US. The frontdoor near the diningroom and the study.
The Basement. This will be finished by later. Where Dawn is standing will be the cinemaroom.
On the left we will have the 4th bedroom and 4th bathroom. On the right a bar + pooltable area.
Foundation
We went out to the lot today armed with our helmets and camera.
The builder told us that they are trying to make up for the time they lost on the permit paperwork.
This shows for sure! At the first pictures wednesday they started with the excavation and today the whole foundation is already up!
They use a metal form where they pour the concrete in.
As outlined you can see the 3 Car garage on the left. The 1 Car garage on the right and the whole basement. On top of the basement the first floor will be build. You can see that we will be higher then our neighbors on the right side in the picture.

Excavating
The excavation has begun!

We will go out this weekend to get some better ones to keep you all up-to-date on the progress!
Come back often cause the house will be done 5 to 6 months from now so pictures will be added weekly from now on.
Move-in date estimation - End of december - half way january.
